Devon Industrial Group (DIG) is a Women Business Enterprise (WBE), certified by the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council (GLWBC). DIG successfully provides innovative, forward-thinking construction management services to automotive/industrial, commercial, healthcare, institutional, and educational customers.
Our foundation as a company began as the result of a mentoring relationship between minority construction supplier, Devon Contracting and the Walbridge Aldinger Company, one of the nation’s largest construction firms. In 1998, with an increasing demand for services and a desire to better serve customers resulted in the creation of DIG: an already successful relationship evolved into a partnership, with Devon Contracting as the controlling partner.
Over the years, DIG has earned success across a range of different sectors. However, we especially excel within the automotive industry where our performance has created repeated business opportunities with respected companies such as Ford, Toyota, Honda, General Motors, FCA, and other OEM’s & Tier Suppliers. Our success comes as a direct result of the diverse background of our principals and the thinking behind our corporate mission to “provide quality construction services by developing and implementing innovative solutions to assist us with exceeding the needs of our customers”. Our innovative solutions are resulting in safe, quality driven cost effective projects for customers throughout the United States.
At DIG the safety and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, clients and others who may visit our job sites is a top priority. We have built a culture that promotes an injury-free environment and we strongly adhere to the goals as stated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), which is “to provide a place of work that is free from recognized hazards”. Our extensive ongoing training and education programs are designed to reduce the risk of injury, minimize & eliminate personal injury, property damage, and all direct and indirect costs associated with these types of issues. In fact, we continuously analyze and refine these programs as part of our commitment to providing an injury-free work environment.
In 2025 (through Q1), DIG earned an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.59. An EMR is the objective measurement of each employer’s safety incident experience normalized to the industry incident rate. EMR’s below 1.00 indicates a contractor performs better than industry average in safety related incidents. As a result of our corporate-wide safety initiatives, we have received numerous safety awards during the past several years for achievements in safety excellence.
